Pastor Kara

Pastor Kara aims to be a preacher and leader who raises the white flag on her own plans and ambitions and surrenders to the Holy Spirit and His will for her life. Each day she wants to be more like the prophet Jeremiah, who bless his heart, just had to speak about God. So much so that the more he tried to keep his mouth shut, the more he felt a pressure building up inside of him—like a fire shut up in his bones, and he had to preach, had to let it out and tell others about the Lord!  Yep, that’s Kara! Her hope for the church is to be creative, daring, and audacious in sharing the Good News and making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. She is a wife, mama, and an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and her favorite word is “y’all!”

Mat has a passion for helping others grow in God, serving the least of these, and connecting others to God through music.
Mat has been involved with worship in various capacities since he was a wee 16 year old lad, and has volunteered or served
with youth ministry since he began college at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2010. When Mat is not leading worship and playing music, you can usually find him working in his other calling as a therapist, eating spicy foods, or spending too much time on the computer. He also loves to engage in conversation, and he will do his best not to bore you with long-winded psychology or theology speeches or obscure references and cringy dad jokes!
